Weight Management · 6mg / 12mg vials
Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. It reduces appetite by signaling the brain that you are full, slows gastric emptying so food is processed more slowly, and improves insulin sensitivity. It produces among the highest rates of body weight reduction of any research peptide.
Concentration reference
Standard mix: 6mg vial + 1mL BAC water = 6mg/mL. Each 0.1mL (10 IU on insulin syringe) = 600mcg.
Dosing schedule
| Phase / Use | Dose | Draw Volume | Frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–4 | 2.5mg | 0.42mL (42 IU) | Once weekly | Establish tolerance — most begin here |
| Weeks 5–8 | 5mg | 0.83mL (83 IU) | Once weekly | First escalation — most reach target here |
| Weeks 9–12 | 7.5mg | 0.63mL using 12mg vial | Once weekly | Increase if 5mg tolerated well |
| Weeks 13+ | 10mg | 0.83mL using 12mg vial | Once weekly | Maintenance dose — most research protocols |
| Advanced | 12.5–15mg | Full 12mg vial + additional | Once weekly | Max dose range — experienced research only |

Injection sites
Abdomen (fastest absorption), outer thigh, upper arm. Rotate sites with each injection — never inject the same site twice in a row.
Timing
Same day each week. Can be taken with or without food. Morning or evening — consistency matters more than exact time.
Cycle length
12–20 weeks active. 4–8 week break for receptor sensitivity. Can resume after break.
Stacking
Commonly paired with NAD+ to support metabolic and mitochondrial function during weight loss protocols.
Warnings
- ⚠Begin at 2.5mg regardless of experience — too-fast escalation causes significant nausea
- ⚠Do not inject into muscle (IM) — subcutaneous only for this peptide
Tips
- ✔Injection on the same day each week produces the most consistent blood level curve
- ✔If nausea occurs at escalation, hold the current dose an extra 4 weeks before increasing
Common stacks
Weight loss + energy
NAD+ supports mitochondrial function during fat loss. Semaglutide is an alternative primary.
